Volunteering & placements
Volunteers play a crucial role in the work of Kingston Bereavement Service as counsellors, clinical supervisors, fundraisers, trustees or helping us in the office. There are over 50 volunteers working with us at any one time and we are extremely grateful for their commitment and support. We offer our volunteers opportunities for continual professional development through our programme of in-house training days, as well as regular supervision and involvement in new developments.
Our counsellors are either fully qualified, counselling students on placement or members of the community with a particular interest in bereavement. Read more
We always welcome enquiries from those experienced and fully qualified counsellors who are looking to develop their counselling careers and are considering or have completed a supervision course. Read more
In order to provide our services we need to raise money. We have various community fundraising events and activities during the year, ranging from quiz nights to sponsored events. If you would like to help us to arrange fundraising events or wish to take part in a specific activity then please contact us.
If you would be inetersted in working with us to help run the service, then please contact us.
We are always keen to recruit new Trustees with relevant skills and experience. The Board of Trustees meets approx. every two months and we would welcome enquiries from people who may wish to volunteer in this way.
