Our service

Our bereavement counselling is available to anyone living, working or studying in Kingston or registered with a Kingston GP and is provided by a team of around 40 trained volunteer counsellors supported by experienced supervisors.

Counselling can be arranged during the day or in the evening according to your availability. For counselling sessions, we usually use our dedicated counselling rooms in our premises in Canbury Park Road, close to Kingston town centre and Kingston train and bus stations, but we can also arrange sessions in your own home or at other locations.

Anyone living, working or studying in Kingston upon Thames is welcome to contact us to discuss bereavement counselling. If your GP is a Kingston GP and they send us a written referral, then your counselling will be at no cost to you, although donations are gratefully received. We ask people who come to us independently to make a contribution towards the cost of their counselling.

We offer services to both adults and children:

We also support and offer training and consultancy for health, social and education professionals and local employers to help them develop their understanding of the bereavement process and its impact.

If you would like to find out more about Kingston Bereavement Service, or feel you would benefit from receiving support from one of our counsellors, please do contact us.

We are located in Welcare House on Canbury Park Road directly opposite Queen Elizabeth Road.
